Professor Georg Holländer

Georg A Holländer is the Head of the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Oxford, UK, and the director of the Botnar Research Centre for Child Health in Basel, Switzerland with academic appointments at the University of Basel and the Swiss Federal Instituter of Technology, Zurich. He was trained in both Paediatrics and Experimental Immunology in Switzerland and the U.S and he held academic positions at Harvard Medical School, Boston, U.S. before returning to Europe. His biomedical research interests focuses on the cellular development and molecular control of the immune system in health and disease.


René Karsenti

René Karsenti, Senior Adviser to the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), served as ICMA President from 2006 to 2019. From 1995 until joining ICMA in 2006, he was Director General of Finance at the European Investment Bank (EIB), having previously served as Treasurer of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London from its inception in May 1991 to 1995. Prior to joining EBRD, from 1979 he held a variety of senior positions in the treasury organisations of the World Bank Group (IBRD & IFC), including as IFC Treasurer. Mr. Karsenti holds an engineering degree from ESCIL, Lyon and a PhD in Economics from the Sorbonne University in Paris. He has also carried out research in finance and economics at the University of California, Berkeley.


Louis de Montpellier 

Louis de Montpellier presently serves as an independent board member and advisor of a few finance institutions, including an asset manager, de Pury Pictet Turrettini & Cie, as well as two think tanks. He has a widespread experience in the international finance space. His professional journey has included executive, managerial and board positions in public finance and in private sector roles serving and advising institutional investors and borrowers internationally.

Until recently, Louis was the global head of the official institutions group of State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation and a global leader in asset management. Prior to this he was Deputy Head of the Banking Department and member of the Executive and Finance Committees of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland; Executive Director of the Belgian Government Debt Agency in Brussels and Director of Funding at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London. He previously worked for investment banks Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley in London, where he was responsible for capital market operations with public sector entities in Europe. 

Louis is a seasoned finance expert and regular commentator on topics of international finance, in particular on the management of government debt, sovereign wealth, digital currencies, ESG, impact and green finance, and other macro financial issues. He has also developed an intense interest and a deep expertise in sustainable economics, ESG finance, impact investing and inclusive capitalism.


Biagio Zoccolillo

Biagio Zoccolillo is a seasoned banking expert with a career and has covered most fields of banking from Commercial, Investment, Institutional and Private Banking, as well as Asset Management, M&A, PE & RE.

Biagio has worked across a wide range of geographies, including Europe, Balkans, CIS, Africa, Latin America, Switzerland and has held Management Positions at various leading banks.

Biagio established and runs his own consultancy practice advising entrepreneurs, wealthy families as well as firms and institutions. He has developed a strong interest in various Tech industries, Blockchain, Digital Currencies, Artificial Intelligence, Data and Machine Learning as well as support for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Biagio holds a diploma as Business Economist KSZ and Executive MBA from IMD Lausanne.


Hussain Al Alawi, Founder & CEO of Noorwood Group

Hussain has over 15 years experience investment with and advice for investors across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). His clients and co-investors include governments, sovereign wealth funds, banks and financial institutions, family offices, and corporate investors.

Coming from a long standing reputable entrepreneurial family in the Middle East, Hussain has accumulated knowledge in disruptive new technologies applied in traditional industry sectors. This includes fintech, and the potential of CBDCs to contribute to the continued digital and fiscal transformation of MENA economies.
